I recently met Mary Liz at Weatherford BMW. She was very knowledgeable about the cars I asked about. She knew a lot about the different models of smaller sedans, which was great because I have always wanted a 3 series. She also told me about electric cars and the different rebates and incentives available should I decide I'm interested. Mary Liz showed me the cars and told me about the different features.Even though I only talked to Mary Liz for about an hour or so, I could tell she is genuine, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. She didn't put the pressure on to buy, like I have experienced before at car dealerships. Mary Liz has been in the car business for years, and her experience shows while talking with her.Unfortunately, I recently lost my job and will not be able to buy the car I want right now. Once I get a new job, I will call Mary Liz.

I had high expectations as this was a purchase at BMW and I've had several other interactions with other BMW dealers and they really went above and beyond. This was one of the best experiences I have had purchasing a vehicle. The process took a bit longer than I had hoped, but everyone made the wait and the process as enjoyable as possible.I found the car by chance on their website (pretty easy to navigate) and gave them a call. The receptionist was helpful and quickly got me over to Kevin Thomas.In our initial phone conversation, he was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, and was happy to answer all of my concerns prior to setting an appointment. He also followed up right after confirming the car information, my appointment, and when I had some additional questions, he got back to me super quickly via both text and email. His responsiveness quickly put me at ease.I was quite early for my appointment with him (trying to beat Bay Area traffic) and the staff was quick to accommodate me while I waited (first thing they asked was if I'd like water or another type of beverage). Their lounge is comfortable, has free Wi-Fi, magazines, and even an area for children to play in.Kevin finished up with his previous client and quickly came over and introduced himself. He explained the test drive process and quickly got us underway. During the test drive, he pointed out some additional features of the car that I was unaware it came with and kept the process very light and conversational. Never at any point did I feel pressure from him.Once the sales process started, he made this extremely easy as well, considering the amount of paperwork you have to fill out. He explained all of the forms, why they needed the information, and insure that my personal information was respected and communicated in a private manner. He also took additional time going over the Maintenance and Warranty as this was what I had the most concern over and put me at ease with what was being included and why. He also made a point to explain all of the "perks" that I was eligible for. Really thorough and easy to understand.He was also happy negotiate on price and we quickly came to a sum that was agreeable for everyone involved. Again, not high pressure at all which was fantastic.Since it was a weekend, the finance office was quite busy so there was a bit more of a wait there (maybe have two people on weekends?) but Kevin kept me updated as that progressed. Again, Eleni was very professional and the process went quickly once I was in her office.Delivery of the car was very smooth, and the Genius, Connor, was extremely personable and knowledgeable. I recently purchased a car from this dealer. I had a pretty good experience overall... Which is why I believe you see lots of 5 star and lots of one star reviews.... If nothing goes wrong... There's a good chance of being satisfied. Unfortunately.... If you have a problem... Even a small one.. The ugly side of this type of business are quickly shown. I am sure this review will warrant a generic response from a sales manager... As they are all identical. I am not convinced that many people have changed their feelings after making follow up contact with the sales manager..My biggest concern with my experience here came after a minor issue involving floor mats of all things couldn't be taken care of and after many calls and far more time spent than should ever be required I made contact with my sales associate... Who unfortunately was more concerned with my after sales survey that I submitted. Apparently I failed to follow instructions properly when I answered as honestly as I could. I paid him a compliment and rated him all tens as he had asked..there were some hiccups though and I addressed those. I also was reaching out because my small issue with floor mats had grown into a bit of a pain. What I got for a response was the fact that I didn't give all tens on my survey... My advice is that if you have a honest straight forward customer come in there and you aren't sure if the process went well... Ask them to not fill out a survey at all. I have spent more time screwing around with this place than on multiple previous purchases combined.I will not be back after this experience.A better experience might be to purchase through a credit union and not have to deal at all with car sales culture at all...Just keep it in the back of your mind that attitudes change quickly once you sign. Be sure to have everything promised in your possession prior to leaving. Even to this day the sales manager won't cut a check until I drop off a floor mat... That I finally had to order online. Just tacky.Newest update......Three months after purchasing my vehicle here I found out while refinancing my mortgage that a BMW credit card was opened in my name for $20,000. I warn anyone that goes here to watch their paperwork closely. What happens is a credit card authorization is automatically generated when you finance through BMW. Since you are financing a vehicle most expect to sign authorizations to pull credit etc.Shame on me for not noticing verbiage on the paperwork with "credit card" vs "credit app". Shame on them, for what to most would be considered tacky used car lot tactics....at best. I see it as uninformed consent for them to potentially damage a buyers credit rating.. Or reduce their buying potential for other things I.E. Mortgage etc. Per BMW credit card department this is not unusual. I suspect this is to pad sales numbers for the finance dept. or to meet quotas.I spent far more time trying to get this cleared up, than to buy the car. Please keep this in mind if you choose to go here... Or for any BMW product... As it seems to be a widespread problem.  "Just search BMW sent me credit card without asking".Good luck... Keep one hand on your wallet!

I didn't find what I like that day I met with Chris but told him exactly what I want. Within a day, he found me the exact car I wanted and gave a great price I couldn't turn down. We had an extremely unpleasant experience with Chris Phan. We were interested in a new X5, so we got a price quote from him online. We confirmed if the vehicle was still available before we drive 20 miles to Berkeley on Monday. It was a 1030 appointment and he was a no show. His assistant says unfortunately this SUV got sold after 6pm on a Sunday. This was such a BS !! Then he emails again and starts giving price of a completely different car and says thats what he was talking about in first place. Mind you, this is all over email and its not very hard to just glance through the previous ones. We felt he played bait and switch on us.If you go online to get a price quote and you receive an email from this guy, just ignore him. I will not buy a car from Weatherford BMW of Berkeley. There are plenty of dealers all over bay area.

I've bought several cars in my life, and this experience was by far the best!Darek Hein at Weatherford BMW was amazing. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and whether it was a sales trick or not, he made us feel like valuable customers who were getting the car we wanted at the right price. He was honest and transparent from the get go. When we wanted to see the numbers, he turned his computer screen around and said "let's go through them together," and he offered to model things various ways to give us options (like putting a security deposit down vs more of a down payment so we can see what impact that will have on monthly payments, and the overall amount of money we're spending on the 36 months lease). We'd been to 12 other dealership over the course of 3 months. One of them was even another BMW dealership. We also worked with two online broker firms (Cartellignet and Roadster) that claim to find the best price, and make the buying/leasing experience a breeze....it was anything but easy and the best value.After building the car we wanted online, we shopped it around to the other BMW dealership and the two online services and Darek was hands down offering the greatest value. The day we came in to pickup the car, he was introducing us to the various staff we'd be working with. He was attentive to our black lab Eddie (brought him water and treats) and even called us the next day and a week later to make sure we were still happy with everything and didn't have any questions about the car, the lease payments, etc. Buying/leasing a car is typically a painful process, but a seasoned sales rep like Darek, made it enjoyable, fun, and painless. I would definitely recommend him to anyone considering a BMW.

It's been 4 years since I wrote my original review and during that time I have had the pleasure of trading in the BMW I bought when I wrote the original review, using there service department and this weekend I bought a used care from them as well. My experience with Ali and his entire staff from the sales department, finance and service have all been 5 star! After 4 years I would never go anywhere but here to purchase a new or used car. Ali found a 2008 Audi A3 in their inventory (a very hard to find car) and gave us an amazing deal. Thank you Ali and everyone at Weatherford!

Ali was knowledgeable, reliable, NO pressure, 15 to 20 years of experience with BMW really took the time not just before the sale but afterward to make sure we were taken care of. He went above and beyond time and time again. Especially when after having the car for just 3 weeks, a woman ran a stop sign and smashed into the side of our beautiful new 3 series. I was heart breaking. We called Ali and he had arrangements made with their service team to fix the car, work directly with insurance for payment and had a new car for us to drive while it was in the shop. They finished way ahead of schedule and you would never know we were hit.Ali, and everyone at Weatherford,, we are your biggest fans!P.S. Hands down the easiest and most professional car buy experience i've ever been apart of.... all thanks to Stan and everyone else.  From the initial inquiry I received a response very quickly and was able to make an appointment the next day. Upon arrival I was greeted promptly and didn't have to wait, Stan was ready to answer all my questions and then some.The test drive was casual and comfortable and made it really easy to decide if the vehicle was right for us and again Stan was able to answer any and all questions. In fact he went above and beyond and showed use unique features knowing that we were new to the brand. Once the test drive was over and we decided upon model... we had multiple questions going up and down in vehicles and price... again Stan was there to answer questions and provide honest feedback. If you're going in to this looking to haggle and battle it out w/ a dealer then this isn't the place for you. If what you are looking for is low pressure no nonsense presentation of the product then well you've come to the right place. Doing my homework before I knew upfront the deal he presented was beyond fair and great value.All the way through this process was fantastic and the follow up has been great too. I've been to quite a few other dealers and have had no problem walking out on many others... but none have shown me this level of professionalism nor all around knowledge inside and outside the brand.Oh did I mention I was the last customer there on a weeknight.... and they still treated me well even though it was late and I was still there asking questions...

I don't like to haggle for my service. It seems like you must have a rather large bank account to own a BMW- if you do not- think your purchase of a new or used BMW over - several times. Although there are some great employees , there are also some bad apples. To over charging me double my service ( had to wait several days to get the amount owed back- no apology), haggling for lower service prices, and buying a lemon- that I had to plead several weeks over to exchange. Service , and customer service needs stability. Management is awful- period.

JV  Huynh is the man . He is awesome. Making my experience of buying my car so much easier. He gave me a great deal with out me having to ask, making me feel so comfortable. You know how pushy salesman can be, but not with JV. He let me have my space of looking at the car I wanted. Telling me the difference between each one of them. He let me take my time to decide. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Beware that this dealership is a SCAM. I recently had a horrendous experience on my birthday, involving illegal bait and switch activity. I have contacted managers with no response and will be reporting this scum establishment to the Better Business Bureau.After driving over an hour to the dealership on my birthday, I was told that I would need to choose another car because the vehicle I was quoted did not qualify for my corporate fleet discount because it was marked as a "loaner" in their system. The salesman claimed BMW financial services requires vehicles to be marked new to qualify.This was AFTER he had me fill out a credit application and hit my credit with a hard inquiry. He came back with a new proposal. I left empty handed. All of this after I confirmed with the worthless people that the quote I received was valid and did not include any additional fees on numerous occasions. They had ample opportunity to check it for accuracy.I'm pissed that I drove all of that way to be misled and lied to. Seems like a bait and switch kind of scheme. These so called "issues" should have been caught when I was given a quote originally and/or when I followed up a dozen times.BEWARE - THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND WILL SCREW YOU OVER!

We needed a new car and couldn't decide where to go. My husband contacted a few local dealerships online, but their were either too slow or gave us the worst prices anyone can imagine. Stan from internet sales quickly responded to our inquiry for a new car with a great price too, so we went in a few days later. He is on top of his email inquiries! They didn't try to cheat you or change the pricing once you arrive. Stan was busy, so Ron from the Sales Floor helped us. He was terrific! You can tell he's a car guy - he knows his stuff! There were no pressure to buy and we had a great test drive. This place deserves my Yelp review. They have the right attitude and don't try to waste your time by quoting different prices back and forth. I do recommend them.Ryan the Delivery Specialist also deserves a thumbs up! He was friendly and knowledgeable.We love driving our BMW and will very likely purchase another one in the future.

Tried to take advantage of a black Friday special of 50% service labor. Entered the email, received a confirmation.  Clicked a few times to check out the coupon looking for restrictions from the link. Called and scheduled a service appointment, made sure it covered what the work we needed.  It never said you had a limited number of clicks and then you would be unable to access the coupon.  Went to print the coupon right before the appointment and the link was expired.  It wouldn't show the coupon any more. My husband drove to Berkeley from SF only to be told without the actual coupon there was nothing they could do even though we had an email confirmation.  The lack of customer service and the not my problem attitude is frustrating.  I bought my car from this dealership a few years back and expect more from BMW in general.  This dealership has an extensive inventory, but they are completely unprofessional.  When we bought our car, the sales rep (Joshua S.)was cursing in front of our toddler.  The whole experience took quite a few hours and I felt like I could be at any brand dealership. From both of these experiences I can't find myself doing business with this dealership in the future and would not recommend it to others. The SF dealership is more professional with better customer service.

As usual, purchasing our 7th BMW was very, very easy. Our sales manager, Kevin Thomas is the best. After completion of the application online, Kevin and the tech. guy (he setup our phones and copied my music on a flash drive)  brought the car to me. This was an awesome and fast process. Additionally, we received an outstanding deal on our new car and our trade in. It's a joy to work with a extremely competent group of individuals (including finance and service departments).

Super shady service section - the tech on the phone was quite snippy and wouldn't say what they could offer for my (very simple) service needs, other than $210 just to plug in an ODB2 monitor.  Pay out the nose for rude service?  No thanks.

Jon Heppler provided great service on helping me purchase a 4 series. He kept me well informed about my options and guided me with his knowledge and expertise. I've been meaning to write a view of the great experience I had leasing my new car. I originally went in to meet with Chris Phan who was awesome and extremely friendly. After looking at some options, it turned out better for me to do a European Delivery and I went over to Ali who handles all these. I was treated and felt like family while choosing my car exactly how I wanted it. He took care of me throughout the whole process, including test drives, financial explanations and prepping for my trip to Germany. Once I came back, he was really good to track my car for arrival here in the U.S! I absolutely recommend it and going for a European Delivery if it's possible!

Weatherford BMW is the place to go if you want to buy a BMW. Their inventory is great , you are surely going to find a car you want. Kevin Thomas helped us with our purchase .We met him couple of years back when we first wanted to buy a car. Although we couldn't buy the car then,  but we knew whom to go to when we wanted to buy it. So recently for my husband's birthday we bought a BMW here at Berkeley and with Kevin's help. He is very professional and informative. Not only did he get us a good deal but he did that by rescheduling a outing with his wife for us .. now this is big right !! He definitely knows how to keep his clients happy.Overall our experience with the weatherford bmw was great!!
